The Private Client Services team is a significant national presence, consistently achieving top-tier rankings in leading legal directories for their Trusts, Estates, and Tax (TET) expertise. The East Midlands TET team, based in Nottingham, is well-established and renowned for its innovative and client-focused approach. They advise on a comprehensive range of private client matters, including those with international, agricultural, literary, and business assets, and are known for their ability to provide flexible and integrated solutions, such as their Private Wealth Initiative.
About the Role:
As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in drafting wills and administering complex estates and trusts. This position offers significant professional development, working on high-quality instructions and collaborating with specialists across various areas of trusts, estates, and tax. The team also boasts experts in niche areas such as independent administration in high-net-worth contested estates, complex mental capacity issues, cross-border estates, and agricultural client advice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drafting intricate wills tailored to high-net-worth clients' needs.
* Administering complex estates and trusts, including those with diverse asset portfolios.
* Providing expert advice on a wide range of trusts, estates, and tax matters.
* Collaborating with other departments, such as corporate, on integrated client solutions.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Ensuring sound case management and financial oversight.
About You:
The successful candidate will possess:
* Directly relevant experience in private client law, with approximately 4-8 years of Post-Qualified Experience (PQE).
* Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the private wealth industry.
* A proven track record of competent financial management, meeting client expectations, and sound case management skills.
* Excellent IT skills, including experience with case management systems, electronic time recording, and Microsoft packages.
* A self-starting, friendly, and collaborative approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to consistently demonstrating strong professional values.
* STEP qualified or a strong desire to complete the STEP qualification.
