Footballco is the world's leading football media company, built for the next generation of fans. Our mission is to give fans more of the game by building football communities that entertain, inform, and inspire action. We cover everything in football from news and analysis, original reporting, and social media content, to web stores, video, podcasts, newsletters, and live scores. About the Role

We are seeking a technically able and efficiency-driven Product Manager to lead our publishing platforms and content technology. You will be the bridge between our high-scale, multi-language content engine and our global editorial teams, ensuring that our infrastructure enables our creators to reach the right community at the right time with world-class speed and precision.

What you'll be doing:

Publishing Infrastructure and Global Orchestration

* You will sit at the intersection of product and editorial operations, owning the tools that power our content engine. This involves acting as the central hub for diverse internal teams across Europe, North America, and Asia, translating high-level editorial visions into actionable technical requirements for our publishing platforms.

AI-Driven Innovation and Workflow Efficiencies

* Lead the charge in integrating AI to support our output and publishing ROI. You will implement AI tools that streamline, automate, and enable our talented content team.

Full-Stack Delivery for Content Experiences

* Lead squads of front-end and back-end engineers to build seamless digital experiences for millions of fans. You will ensure front-end environments are lightning-fast and consistent, while working with back-end teams to maintain robust APIs and delivery.

Multimedia and Video Technology:

* In a video-first world, you will manage the tech stack that powers our visual storytelling. This includes evolving how we deliver video on our sites and apps, overseeing Video Player integrations, and co-managing Media Asset Management (MAM) systems to support our global video strategy.

Conversion and Fan Retention:

* Utilise user data to build personalised journeys that convert casual readers into loyal fans. You will develop specific features for key customer segments and work closely with distribution teams to ensure content reaches fans through well-designed onboarding flows and optimised touchpoints.

What you have:

* Proven experience in product management, specifically within CMS development, publishing technology, or high-traffic media environments.
* Experience in leveraging AI to research, prototype, automate, and optimise publishing workflows.
* Strong understanding of working with both front-end and back-end engineering teams to deliver scalable products.
* Ability to manage a range of technologies pertaining to modern day content production, particularly video delivery and monetisation.
* A commercial mindset with the ability to link publishing efficiencies and user engagement to revenue outcomes.

Product Knowledge and Individual Skills

* A deep understanding of the customer and their needs across different global football segments.
* Data-driven and always curious about how technology can improve the speed and quality of content delivery.
* Strong product operational knowledge with a deep interest in digital and technology innovation.
* Highly organised with an eye for detail and the ability to manage complex global stakeholder relationships.
* Strong problem solver with the ability to influence others positively to push for progress.
* Growth and learning mindset, acting as a key collaborator within the global product team.
