Contracts Manager
Location: Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridge and Norfolk
Salary: Up to £100,000 + Package
PSR Solutions is working in partnership with a leading main contractor to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of major construction projects across the East of England.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong operational leader to join a growing business delivering a range of complex public sector schemes, including education and custodial projects valued up to £60m.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, supporting Project Managers, driving programme performance, maintaining quality standards and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
The Role
- Oversee several projects across the region.
- Provide leadership, support and mentorship to Project Managers and site teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality expectations.
- Drive health & safety performance across all sites.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement solutions.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
- Maintain high standards of quality, compliance and operational excellence.
- Report directly into senior operational leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager within a main contracting environment.
- Track record delivering new-build projects within the education, custodial, healthcare, commercial or public sector markets.
- Experience managing projects valued up to £60m.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop Project Managers and site teams.
- Excellent understanding of construction delivery, programme management and quality assurance.
- Commercial awareness and strong stakeholder management skills.
- SMSTS, CSCS and relevant construction qualifications.
