Clinical Specialist Radiographer – General
Birmingham, The Harborne Hospital
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
5 day working pattern between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00 plus on-call requirements

We’re looking for a Clinical Specialist Radiographer to join our team within the Generals Department at The Harborne Hospital.
The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital that opened in Birmingham in 2024. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital has a deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer, Complex surgery and Orthopaedics. The Harborne Hospital is the 4th NHS partnership within this network, partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust.
As a Clinical Specialist Radiographer at The Harborne Hospital, you’ll be asked to rotate efficiently through our generals departments, assisting in X-Ray, Theatres and Interventional Radiology.
Duties & responsibilities:
1. Skilfully provide accurate diagnostic imaging services by operating Imaging equipment in accordance with operational procedures and ensuring routine quality assurance procedures are carried out.
2. Ensure all equipment faults and malfunctions are recorded and reported to the correct parties.
3. Work within a multi-disciplinary team to maximise clinical efficiency.
4. To rotate between areas as required.
5. Assist in staff orientation and training.
6. Accept and perform non-radiographic duties that are intrinsic to the day to day running of the department, e.g. make appointments, answer the telephone and perform office duties/ IEP
7. Solid experience in the general imaging department including theatres and interventional work
8. Assist with the day to day management of the general department and deputise to the superintendent in their absence
