You will be responsible for leading learning within your classroom context, promoting inclusion, diversity and equality, communicating with stakeholders, and contributing to wider improvements across the school community.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead teaching and learning in the English curriculum, ensuring that all pupils achieve their potential.
* Promote inclusion, diversity and equality within the classroom and school community.
* Communicate regularly with parents, carers and other stakeholders to support pupil progress.
* Plan and assess learning using evidence to drive improvement and support all learners’ needs.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practice, including the use of digital technologies.
* Contribute to school improvement plans and broader professional initiatives.
Key Qualifications and Experience
* Full registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) – primary or secondary as appropriate.
* Evidence of a commitment to professional development and an enquiring stance throughout your practice.
* Experience in planning and assessing learning that demonstrates positive outcomes for learners.
* Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive relationships with students and school community.
* Capacity to model behaviour expected of teachers in Scotland and to adhere to Professional Standards.
* Clear understanding of social justice, trust, respect and integrity (professional values and commitment).
