We are hiring an Lead Internal Auditor to join our team! This is a full-time hybrid role for a Lead Internal Auditor, based in Hemel Hempstead, with the flexibility for some remote work. The Lead Internal Auditor will be responsible for conducting internal audits, preparing detailed audit reports, and evaluating financial processes to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Daily tasks include analysing financial and operational data, identifying risks, and recommending actionable improvements. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial audits and effective communication of findings.

Requirements
1. Plan, lead, and perform risk-based internal audits across financial, operational and compliance areas
2. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures
3. Identify key risks, control gaps, and process improvement opportunities
4. Prepare clear, concise audit reports with actionable recommendations for management
5. Discuss audit findings with stakeholders and follow up on corrective action plans
6. Provide advisory services on new systems, processes, and projects
7. Expertise in preparing and delivering high-quality Audit Reports.
8. Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to evaluate complex financial and operational data.
9. Excellent Communication skills, with a focus on conveying findings and recommendations effectively.
10. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and provide guidance on best practices.
11. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIA is a plus.
12. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint and deliver presentations to key stakeholders
13. Proficiency in an additional European language (, French, German, Italian, or Spanish) is highly desirable given the company's extensive EU presence.
