Job Title: Secondary Cover Supervisor

Salary: £100 £130 per day (depending on experience)

Are you confident leading a classroom and supporting students in a secondary school setting?
GSL Education are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Secondary Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Nottingham.
As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and lessons are delivered effectively using pre-set materials.
Responsibilities of a Secondary Cover Supervisor:
* Supervise classes across a range of subjects during teacher absences
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students stay on task
* Maintain a positive, focused, and productive classroom environment
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Support students in completing their work and learning activities
* Provide guidance and assistance where needed during lessons
* Report any behavioural issues or concerns to relevant staff
* Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Requirements of a Secondary Cover Supervisor:
* Experience working with children or young people is desirable
* Confidence in managing a classroom environment
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* The ability to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively
* A flexible and proactive approach to working in schools
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
