Role Overview
The Capability Lead will develop and implement a robust capability plan to support the ambitions of the ViiV UK Business Unit. This involves partnership and matrix working with functional team leaders within the Business Unit, Europe and International (E&I), Global and considers both team and individual development priorities.
In this role you will
* Develop a robust annual capability plan to support the growth ambitions of our Long Acting Injectable Powerhouse UK, integrating functional plans and individual capability gap analysis.
* Implement key elements of the capability plan, focusing on commercial business and partnering with the Europe & International medical capability team where appropriate.
* Ensure the implementation of capability activities, maintaining a positive relationship with Medical for technical scientific training to commercial teams.
* Diagnose KAM and National Business Manager capability gaps to craft and deliver tailored interventions, including training and LOC-led workshops.
* Design, deliver and evaluate impactful training interventions, facilitating capability workshops with the LOC.
* Lead the rollout of AI‑driven digital tools and integrate them into existing capability initiatives.
* Partner with the Commercial Operations team to embed LAI strategy and campaign, ensuring excellence in execution aligned to business priorities.
* Deploy annual knowledge certifications for in‑scope individuals, coordinating with Managers and the Compliance Manager.
* Collaborate with the National Business Director to develop a long‑term Business Unit capability plan, identifying gaps and partnering with E&I/Global teams.
* Implement a UK people management and leadership development plan in partnership with the National Business Director.
* Embed a High Performing Team culture, prioritising personal and team development.
* Use innovative learning methodologies, coordinating with ViiV, GSK partners and supporting agencies.
* Ensure the roll‑out of Global and EU capability initiatives and partnership alignment.
* Administer the onboarding process for new starters, updating onboarding materials for Managers.
* Work with the Compliance Manager to agree the annual learning curriculum and supervise completion of required modules.
Qualifications & Skills
* Degree in life sciences or business (or equivalent) with demonstrable experience in training delivery, commercial/marketing, account planning, facilitation, mentoring, and diverse audience engagement.
* Proven experience developing, implementing and evaluating learning interventions and programmes.
* Proficient in English.
* Ability to influence across a matrix organisation and lead change initiatives.
* Track record of influencing at different levels, engaging meaningfully with various functions.
* Experience leading change and innovative initiatives and processes.
* Strong project management skills with proven ability to craft, lead and implement projects, develop project metrics, and work with external learning providers.

* Strong business understanding, ambitious attitude, and clear regulatory and compliance awareness.

* Challenger demeanour with ability to influence horizontally and vertically within the organisation.
