Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Enfield to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible .
This role is ideal for someone experienced in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, within a mainstream primary setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
* Support children with additional learning, communication, and emotional needs
* Implement individual education and behaviour support plans
* Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet pupils needs
* Support positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and parents
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with primary SEND pupils
* Understanding of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs
* Patient, proactive, and nurturing approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Available full time and able to start ASAP
