Williams IT Solutions is assisting with sourcing an experienced IT Support contractor to strengthen a busy service desk environment for a client based in Milton Keynes.
This role is primarily onsite, with occasional remote work. Applicants must be able to travel to Milton Keynes regularly.
The successful contractor will work alongside an experienced technical lead to help stabilise and improve a busy 1st Line Service Desk.
Responsibilities
* Taking ownership of the oldest and most complex tickets on the 1st Line queue
* Helping the team meet and exceed SLA targets
* Providing escalation support and technical guidance to the existing service desk team
* Assisting with troubleshooting across a wide range of user and infrastructure issues
* Helping improve the overall efficiency and reliability of the service desk
Requirements
* Several years of hands‑on IT support experience
* Strong troubleshooting ability across Windows environments and common business systems
* Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
* Ability to hit the ground running in an active service desk environment
* Must already have the right to work in the United Kingdom
* Contract role – suitable for contractors operating through their own limited company
