Housing Support Worker – Ex Offenders

* Salary: £14.13 PAYE / £18.00 Umbrella
* Type: Temp to Perm, Full-time (35 hours/week)
* Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8-hour days, with 1 Saturday in 5
* Travel: Occasional travel to Luton and Watford; mileage paid at 0.45p per mile
* Requirements: Full UK Driver’s License, access to a vehicle, Enhanced DBS
Role Overview:
As a Housing Support Worker, you will support low to medium risk prison leavers over 18, managing 3-4 properties, ensuring compliance with support agreements, developing move-on plans, and maximizing rent and welfare benefit claims. The role involves safeguarding, support planning, property inspections, and liaising with local authorities and agencies.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure correct tenure and support agreements are issued and adhered to.
2. Develop move-on plans for service users.
3. Maximize rent collection and welfare benefit claims, minimizing arrears.
4. Demonstrate knowledge of support planning and safeguarding.
5. Carry out property inspections and report repairs.
Additional Information:
This role offers valuable experience working with criminal justice agencies, local authorities, and housing departments. It is exempt under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 and is open to female applicants only due to the sensitive needs of the clients.
