Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire Salary/Benefits: £26k - £35k + Training & BenefitsA national player within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to cover sites around Yorkshire and the North West of England. Applicants must have a good grasp of industry guidelines (ACOP L8 and HSG 274) and will be able to integrate smoothly into a busy and successful team. You will be carrying out a variety of water hygiene compliance tasks, and smaller legionella risk assessments where required.
Due to the locations of work, our client can consider candidates based in the North of England, provided they are happy to travel and have good access to major routes. Locations of work include: Bradford, Leeds, Pudsey, Halifax, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Barnsley, Castleford, Pontefract, Garforth, Tadcaster, Wetherby, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Keighley, Brighouse, Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Oldham, Manchester, Rochdale, Bury, Bolton, Accrington, Burnley, Clitheroe, Wilmslow, Wigan, Leigh, Ashton-in-Makerfield.Experience / Qualifications: -Experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer -Ideally will have some experience with conducting Legionella Risk Assessments -Will preferrably hold the City and Guilds (WMSoc) in Legionella Risk Assessing -Fully conversant in ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines -Flexible to travel in line with company needs -Good literacy, numeracy and IT skillsThe Role: -Showerhead descales -TMV servicing and failsafe checks -Flushing on little used outlets -Tank inspections, cleans and disinfections -Performing legionella risk assessments on smaller, domestic hot and cold water systems -Routine water sampling and temperature monitoring -Keeping accurate records of works undertaken -Producing reports to highlight any found risks and recommendations to rectify -Working to agreed deadlines and personal targetsAlternative job titles: Environmental Service Technician, Legionella Technician, Legionella Risk Assessor, Water Hygiene Operative, Legionella Consultant.Future Select are recruiting in the Water Treatment/Hygiene industry; we work with the best clients & candidates and supply the majority of permanent jobs in the market.We would be interested in speaking to candidates with experience in any disciplines from Risk Assessors, Service Engineers, Account Managers and Business Development/Operational Managers through to Director level.We are inundated with applications, we will endeavour to get back in touch, however if you have applied to Future Select and you have not heard from us after a week, on this occasion, you will not have been successful.
