Jim Lawrence are a family run manufacturing business based in Hadleigh, Suffolk, specialising in lighting and home interiors. We are seeking an experienced Social Media and Press Manager to provide maternity cover for a fixed period of fifteen months.
This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for interiors, a talent for storytelling, and a strong understanding of how to build and nurture engaged social media communities. You'll be responsible for shaping and executing the company's social media and PR strategies, ensuring a consistent and compelling presence across both digital and traditional media. Working closely with internal teams, influencers, and media partners, you'll help drive engagement, build meaningful brand awareness, and continue to elevate the Jim Lawrence brand in a thoughtful way.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
* Develop and implement social media strategy across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn).
* Create engaging, brand-aligned content which includes visually compelling scheduling across all platforms, written copy, and video.
* Utilising our content planner, plan and execute campaigns across social media, the website, and email marketing eg new product launches, working closely with internal teams to ensure goals are met.
* Alongside the marketing assistant, oversee the day-to-day management of social media accounts, including posting, monitoring, and responding to comments/messages in a timely manner. Engage with followers and relevant communities to build a loyal and engaged online audience.
* Oversee social media advertising budgets, ensuring cost-effective and optimised ad spend. Track analytics to measure performance.
Content Creation & Editorial
* Conduct interviews with designers, collaborators, and key figures in the industry on the Jim Lawrence Style Journal, turning conversations into well-crafted features for the brand's blog and wider content channels.
* Work closely with both marketing assistant and the in-house photographer to produce engaging video of products, and behind-the-scenes content.
* Source and coordinate customer-generated content and testimonials for social media.
Press & PR
* Act as the first point of contact for all media and press enquiries (image requests, loans, influencer gifting, brand collaborations).
* Identify, engage, and manage relationships with influencers to expand the company's reach and audience online.
* Write and distribute press releases for new product releases.
Email Marketing
* Plan, create, and send x2 newsletters a week via Mailchimp campaigns.
* Maintain and grow the subscriber database.
* Track campaign performance (open rates, CTR, conversions) and apply insights to future campaigns.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
* 3-5 years in a similar social media, PR, or communications role.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong copywriting and storytelling ability.
* A strong eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
* Experience managing paid social media campaigns.
Desirable
* Experience with interiors or luxury retail.
* Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practices.
* Understanding of analytics tools (e.g. Meta Insights, Google Analytics).

Contract - Fixed Term contract for 15 months
Contracted hours - 40 hours per week
Location - Office based - Hadleigh, Suffolk
Working hours - 08:30am - 17:00pm
