Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location: Between Stoke on Trent and Crewe Salary: Approximately £53,500 including shift allowance, plus overtime and a full benefits package (negotiable depending on experience) About the Employer A well-established UK manufacturing business, part of a larger national group, is looking to strengthen its engineering department with the addition of an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at its production site. The company has a long history of producing high-quality building and construction materials and is recognised for its strong commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainability. The facility employs around 140 people across production, maintenance, quality, health & safety, and support teams. The Opportunity Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will help maintain smooth, reliable plant operations by identifying and resolving equipment faults, carrying out planned maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement projects. You’ll work across a variety of systems including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated control equipment. A strong electrical bias and the ability to manage both day-to-day issues and longer-term upgrades will be key. The position operates on a 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern (covering both days and nights). Required Experience and Skills * Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or similar role within a manufacturing or process environment. * Good working knowledge of PLC-based control systems (Siemens experience is advantageous). * 18th Edition certification (JIB) or equivalent qualification. * Solid fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities. * Familiarity with HSE standards and safe working practices. * Computer literacy and clear communication skills. * A team-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
