Job Title: Web Developer

I am working with a client based in Yorkshire who is looking to expand their team by adding a Web Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of dynamic WordPress websites, custom themes, plugins, and high-performance systems. Your expertise in both back-end and front-end technologies will be essential, as you will use your proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL to create robust, user-centric solutions.
As a WordPress Developer, you will work within a collaborative team to optimise website functionality, build and consume REST APIs, and ensure seamless integration of WordPress with other web services. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that enhance the user experience and make a lasting impact on the success of the client’s projects.
Required Skills:
* Knowledge of both WordPress and WooCommerce, including theme and plugin development.
* Experience with Magento and Shopify
* Familiarity with WordPress hooks, actions, and filters.
* Strong proficiency in PHP.
* Excellent skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (including jQuery).
* Solid understanding of database systems, particularly MySQL.
* Experience in building and consuming REST APIs.
* Competency with version control tools.
* Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
* A focus on website performance and security.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with Node.js, React, Next.js, or other JavaScript frameworks.
* Digital Agency experience.
