Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist/Therapist to join our dynamic dental practice in Drighlington, West Yorkshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care and promoting oral health to our diverse patient base.
1. Start Date: December 2025 however we can be flexible in line with your notice period
2. Days and Hours: 1 x day per week, surgery space available on a Tuesday on a 12 month fixed term basis.
3. Perform comprehensive dental hygiene treatments, including Airflow
4. Conduct thorough oral health assessments and develop personalised treatment plans
5. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
6. Administer local anesthesia and place dental sealants as needed
7. Take dental radiographs using digital technology
8. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to ensure optimal patient care
9. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
10. Stay current with the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies
11. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and infection control protocols

Qualifications
12. Bachelor's degree in Dental Therapy or equivalent
13. Current GDC (General Dental Council) registration as a Dental Hygienist/Therapist
14. Proven experience in a dental hygiene and therapy role
15. Proficiency in a wide range of dental hygiene procedures
16. Strong knowledge of current dental hygiene practices and technologies
17. Experience with digital radiography equipment
18. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
19. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
20. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
21. Strong attention to detail and a patient-centered approach
22. Ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
23. Excellent time management and organizational skills
24. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs
