SUMMARY
As a vital member of our professional medical team, you will perform clinical laboratory analyses and examinations on blood, urine, body fluids, and tissues. Your expertise will assist in physician diagnosis and treatment, all while adhering to our published turnaround times. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory lab requirements.

What We’re Looking For
ATTRIBUTES
* BS in Medical Technology or a related Science, or equivalent relevant experience recognized by the New York State Department of Education for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
* Previous experience in a Clinical or Pathology Laboratory is a plus, but not required.
* New York State Department of Education License or Limited Permit as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist is required.
* Certification by ASCP is preferred, but not mandatory.
Your Responsibilities
* Perform testing accurately and in a timely manner.
* Interpret and correlate clinical test results with patient history and conditions.
* Communicate critical lab results and any instrument malfunctions to appropriate medical personnel.
* Conduct quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instruments.
* Prepare reagents and manage laboratory supplies efficiently.
* Stay updated on computer functions related to testing and workflow management.
* Teach in the School of Medical Technology as needed.
* Consistently meet all regulatory lab requirements.
* Take on additional duties as requested by your manager.
Physical Requirements
This role involves medium work, requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently. You will need to be comfortable with frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
PAY RANGE: $33.00 - $39.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and is eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
