On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a Business Risk Partner based in London for an initial 3-month role. It is a hybrid model.

Purpose of the role:
Business Risk & Control Specialist's support the First Line Business Areas with non-financial risk management and risk reporting in line with the relevant Policies, Frameworks and Standards. They act as first point of contact for the Business, Risk, Compliance and Audit teams in relation to risk and control matters for their respective Business Area or the Business Unit. This role will be working within the 1st Line risk team for Sustainability.
What you'll do:
Support Identification and management of risks and mitigating actions/controls with the RCSA Owner (typically Head of the Business Area or Business Unit). On-going maintenance of RCSAs, associated Risk Appetite and reporting to committees/management forum.
Organize and oversee Key Control Assessments ('KCAs') testing in support of RCSAs through maintenance of Risk & Control Matrices; and liaise with other assurance reviews (e.g. led by Audit).
Support Identification and management of conflicts of interest and mitigating actions/controls with the Conflict Owner. Maintain the relevant Conflicts of Interest Register in MetricStream and support deep dive activity on key areas of conflict/controls.
Support and monitor risk and control environment, e.g. MI across risk types, KRIs, RAS and STIP metric monitoring.
Identify and manage emerging risks proactively for their relevant Business Area, e.g. via trend analysis, Project/Change impact analysis, etc.
Incident management across all Sustainability related matters and areas. This person will be responsible for convene incident management meetings (of key stakeholders) to mitigate and close out open incidents. The individual will be responsible to identify the root cause of events and agree with relevant stakeholders all appropriate actions and deadlines to prevent any reoccurrence of such incidents again.
Support the Business with the identification of business self-identified issues and actions. Record and manage issues and actions on MetricStream/Internal Risk systems.
Monitor, track and support the Business with timely closure of issues and actions.
Support Head Business Risk Partners and heads of Businesses to prepare papers/MI for Key Management Meetings and Committees.
Support the First Line with the maintenance and roll out of their risk and control framework. Provide relevant subject matter expertise to the First Line when required
Lead and/or provide risk management support, advice and guidance for risk remediation activity, training needs and implementation/embedding of Second Line Risk Frameworks.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required:
Desired candidate must have significant experience in Financial Services/Asset management including sustainability, ideally within first/second line risk and control roles;
Essential:

Reporting experience - working skills with excel/PowerPoint/Power BI for an executive audience.
