Business Development Representative
Jade Road Consulting are partnering with a rapidly scaling Accounting Software company that has doubled in size every year since launch. With an ambitious FY26 growth strategy underway, they’re now looking to bring an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) into the team to fuel their next phase of expansion.
The Role
As a driven and proactive BDR, you’ll be at the forefront of the company’s revenue engine. Your mission is to generate high‑quality leads, build meaningful early‑stage relationships, and create a strong pipeline for the inside sales team. Your work will directly influence the company’s growth trajectory and help shape its continued success.
Key Responsibilities
* Become an expert at using lead generation tools to generate lists of target prospect accounts
* Qualify prospects based on their current business challenges and needs using targeted and relevant questions
* Handle outbound leads
* Schedule discovery calls for our inside sales team
* Be proficient at using a sales development platform to execute the outreach process consisting of phone, email, and social touches
* Meet or exceed qualified lead/demos quota every month
* Strive to continuously improve your sales development process and demonstrate a willingness to learn and implement best practices
* Represent and demonstrate our company values, brand, and mission
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria
* Ability to engage with CEOs, CFOs, VP Finance, Controllers, and Accountants at early-stage and growth businesses, and pose insightful questions.
* Genuine empathy for prospects' needs and challenges.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
* Self-motivated with the capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* A passion for learning and personal growth within a startup environment.
* Demonstrates a sense of urgency and persistence in achieving goals.
* Previous experience in lead generation or sales prospecting is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a rapidly evolving small company environment.
