The Role
This is a true partnering role within the People Business Partnering & Operations function. Unlike traditional HR roles focused on day-to-day delivery, this position is designed for someone who wants to help shape workforce decisions at a strategic level.
You will be a key partner for senior leaders, providing the insight and constructive challenge they need to make commercially sound people decisions. Your focus will be on strengthening leadership capability, managing capacity and succession risks, and converting Movera’s cultural ambitions into tangible leadership behaviours. You will navigate complexity and pace, ensuring that as we grow, we maintain clarity, engagement, and operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership Partnering: Act as a credible partner to senior leaders, enabling them to make commercially sound workforce decisions through high-level insight and strategic challenge.
* Performance & Accountability: Embed a culture of high performance and clear ownership across teams, ensuring performance expectations are understood and supported through regular, data-led dialogue.
* Workforce Planning & Capacity: Partner with leaders to design the right capability mix, anticipating succession risks and addressing gaps to protect operational resilience as the organisation scales.
* Transformation & Engagement: Use engagement data to identify drivers for motivation and retention, supporting leaders to take targeted actions that improve both colleague experience and business outcomes.
* Cultural Translation: Turn Movera’s cultural ambitions into clear leadership behaviours and ways of working, ensuring our values are lived consistently across all brands and functions.
* Strategic Initiatives: Lead key people projects aligned with organisational priorities, ensuring every initiative delivers measurable progress and clarity.
Person Specification
* Strategic Business Partnering: Significant experience operating as a People Business Partner within complex, operationally demanding, or fast-paced environments.
* Commercial Acumen: A proven ability to connect people decisions to business impact and operational outcomes.
* Influence & Challenge: The confidence to challenge senior stakeholders constructively and the ability to build trusted, credible relationships quickly.
* Data-Led Decision Making: A strong belief in using workforce and engagement insights to inform strategy and challenge assumptions, rather than relying on instinct alone.
* Organisational Effectiveness: Deep understanding of workforce planning, capability mapping, and how to drive performance and retention in a scaling business.
* Pragmatism & Bias for Action: A solutions-focused mindset that prioritises meaningful outcomes over administrative process, with the ability to operate comfortably in ambiguity.
* Operational Exposure: Experience partnering with large-scale Operations teams, ideally within a multi-brand or matrix environment, is highly desirable.
