We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice as Pharmacy Dispenser to join our pharmacy team. The successful candidate must have strong communication, be able to work well in a team and will support the pharmacist in the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of prescriptions, while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high professional standards.
You will be working in a pharmacy and undertaking various duties on the Medical Counter and Dispensary including serving customers, providing healthcare advice, recommending and signposting services, ordering and checking stock, supporting the dispensing of medication under the supervision of a pharmacist, stock control, labelling, downloading prescriptions, liaising with GP and other healthcare providers in relation to prescription queries. Training will be provided alongside the NVQ level 2 courses - Medical Counter Assistant and Dispensary Assistant.
Duties
* Provide courteous and professional service to patients and customers.
* Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and rotating stock.
* Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements.
* Support the pharmacist with administrative tasks and record keeping.
* Promote health services and over‑the‑counter products where appropriate.
* Ensure the dispensary and work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant.
