Job Description
A Primary School located in Telford is looking to recruit a Behavioural Learning Support to assist a Year 4 boy with challenging behaviours. The school believes a male candidate may work better with the child but is open to suitable candidates of any gender. A keen interest in sports would be advantageous for managing behaviour and using sports as a calming activity before returning the child to class. The school seeks someone experienced with challenging behaviours and resilient in applying behavioural strategies.
There has been an increase in exclusions during the past academic year, prompting the SENCO to enhance behavioural support to prevent exclusion and support inclusion. The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience supporting children with challenging behaviours.
* Have supported 1:1 and small group work with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health Needs).
* Possess a calm, nurturing approach with clear expectations.
* Have a keen interest in Sports.
* Be confident in building positive relationships with pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds to aid their social and academic progress.
This is a great opportunity for those passionate about helping children enjoy learning and reach their potential.
We are committed to equal opportunities and safeguarding. Your application will require two references and an enhanced DBS check.
If interested, contact Sandy at or call 07936 345481.
