NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and roles. The Role

You will provide direction and support to a team of Quality Assurance staff to enable them to carry out their daily tasks and duties effectively. You will support the planning of workload within the team, managing team resources, and, in the absence of the Deputy, adjust priorities as necessary to meet the demands of the service, escalating issues when required.


Duration, Location, and Working Pattern

Number of Posts: 2

Hours per Week: 23.5 & 12.5

Shift Pattern:

* Post 1: Monday, Wednesday 17:30–22:00; Thursday & Friday 17:00–22:00
* Post 2: Saturday & Sunday 09:00–15:15

Base Location: GGC Wide and can be moved to any location.

Salary is pro rata for part‑time hours.


Key Responsibilities

* Plan, organise, prioritise and maintain day‑to‑day administrative tasks for the QA team in absence of the supervisor.
* Ensure all data are processed by priority, collected accurately and recorded in line with GDPR; maintain data accuracy.
* Ensure completeness of data input and extract, collate and summarise database information for statistical management reports.
* Assist the Deputy and Health Records QA Manager in identifying needs, and in delivery, development and implementation of training packages including staff induction, specialist and refresher training.


Knowledge, Training, Qualifications and Experience Required

* Supervisory management skills/experience.
* Thorough knowledge of systems supporting data quality and relevant hospital and departmental policies.
* Computer‑literate, particularly in Microsoft Office.
* Previous clerical experience within a Health Records Department and good communication skills.
* Good computer, keyboard and Microsoft Office skills.
