The School and Role:
Are you an experienced early year practitioner with a passion for nurturing both children and staff?
We are seeking a Nursery Manager (Up to 3's) to work full time in a nursery in Chichester. You will nurture and stimulate children aged 0-4 while fostering academic, personal, and social growth. The roles is to work Monday to Friday and the hours will vary between the opening times of the Nursery which is 7:30am-6pm. You will be joining a very hard-working, dedicated and friendly team that are very passionate to give the children the start to their education by teaching them independence as well as teamwork.
You will be responsible for leading the up to 3's Nursery staff under the direction of the Head of School and Executive Headteacher to ensure the provision of high quality, fully inegrated care and education. You will need to liaise and coordinate with all members of staff to ensure integrated provision for children accessing Nursery spaces in up to 3's Nursery and taking uo breakfast, tea or holiday club sessions. You will be acting as one of Deputy Safeguarding Leads in Head of School's absence, as well as an INco for the up to 3's Nursery, liasing with the Nursery School SENco.
The ideal Nursery Assistant will have;
Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Childcare or equivalent (is essential)
EYPS/ EYTS or Foundation degree in Early Years or above
Paediatric and First Aid at Work qualification
To hold a current UK driving license and have access to a car
Experience in a Leadership role within a nursery setting
Have competent IT skills using Word, Excel, Social Media and email
Have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage sensitive situations
A flexible, positive and creative approach to conflict resolution
Be self-motivated with a flexible attitude
Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team, building positive working relationships
