Job Description
THE POSITION: Medical Communications is part of our integrated commercial services. This role is essential for building credibility and strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and industry clients. Responsibilities include responding to product information requests, identifying adverse events and product quality issues, and medical writing.
The role is home-based (full-time), preferably located in Poland, Ireland, the UK, Italy, Portugal, Germany, or Spain. The candidate must be legally eligible to work in the European Union or the UK.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Translate documents between English and the target language, delivering responses via phone or in writing.
* Respond to drug information inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers.
* Disseminate drug information verbally or in writing.
* Identify and report adverse events and product complaints, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
* Write narratives for adverse events and product complaints during intake and in response to medical inquiries.
* Coordinate responses to quality-related complaints with relevant departments.
* Evaluate medical literature to develop information for dissemination to healthcare professionals.
* Participate in miscellaneous projects such as market research, system development, and training support.
* Perform medical writing tasks.
* Handle on-call responsibilities as assigned.
* Perform other duties as required.
EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:
* Maintain and improve customer service in the Medical Communications Call Centre.
* Work from home or an EU-based office.
* Work US hours, 2pm-2am CET, Monday to Friday; may include working on bank holidays with compensatory time off.
* Contribute to process improvements impacting call centre metrics.
* Travel up to 10% as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Degree in Life Sciences or healthcare-related field.
* Strong clinical background and excellent communication skills.
* English at C1 level; native Spanish fluency is essential.
* Strong translation skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Pharmacy or MSc in Life Sciences preferred.
* Experience in medical information, pharmaceutical industry, or clinical settings.
* Fluent English and native Spanish.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical information systems.
* Positive attitude, strong communication, innovation, and integrity.
