Following some natural attrition, New Beginnings Reading is looking for two enthusiastic individuals to join our Board of Trustees and help shape our strategic future.
About Us
We are a grassroots charity dedicated to supporting those who are homeless or vulnerably housed. From providing essential items to offering long-term signposting, we’re all about creating fresh starts.
Who We’re Looking For
While we welcome all dedicated individuals, we are particularly keen to hear from those with expertise in:
* Fundraising
* Community Engagement
* Strategic Planning
* Financial accounting/bookkeeping
We also highly value the lived experience of homelessness or poverty. We want a Board that truly reflects the diverse community we serve. Challenge us—tell us what we aren’t thinking about!
The Commitment
* Meetings: Every 6 weeks (usually early evenings).
* Format: A healthy mix of in-person (Reading, Berkshire) and remote.
* Role: Strategic oversight, financial guidance, and being a champion for our mission.
