Salary: £37,000 - £40,000

About the role: You will lead the depot operations team, conducting effective driver pre‑briefs and de‑briefs, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately, and communicating clearly with drivers and customers via telephone and company IT systems.
Key Role Responsibilities
* Lead and support the team of Operations Controllers, overseeing resource planning and driver pre‑briefs and de‑briefs.
* Manage transport, courier and fleet operations efficiently to meet service standards.
* Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed in full compliance with site risk assessments.
* Oversee daily operations and promote operational best practices.
* Plan and allocate operational resources effectively according to workload requirements.
* Monitor operational costs and lead investigations into claims or discrepancies.
* Handle and resolve any issues, identifying risks.
* Ensure timely communication between shifts and maintain an accurate handover process.
The ideal candidate will have
* Strong communication skills with the ability to delegate.
* Process management experience.
* Knowledge of resource management and deployment.
* Good IT skills.
