This is a high-impact role where you will drive excellence in patient safety, lead IPC initiatives, and influence clinical standards across our organisation. The Role Reporting to senior clinical leadership, you will provide expert oversight and direction for infection prevention and control working closely with colleagues across all sites. You will lead the development and implementation of evidence-based IPC policy and processes, ensuring compliance with national standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will act as the organisations subject matter expert; working collaboratively with clinical teams, operational leaders, and external partners to reduce infection risks, improve outcomes, and champion best practice. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership for IPC across the organisation Develop, implement and monitor national IPC frameworks, policies, and programmes Lead on regulatory compliance, audit, and assurance activities Drive quality improvement initiatives to reduce healthcare-associated infections Offer expert guidance during outbreaks and incidents, ensuring robust response and learning Influence and support senior stakeholders across clinical and operational teams Represent the organisation at regional and national forums We are looking for a credible and inspiring clinical leader with: Registered healthcare professional (on a professional register) Significant experience in Infection Prevention & Control Proven track record of leading organisation-wide or multi-site IPC strategies Strong knowledge of UK healthcare regulations, standards, and best practice Experience of managing clinical change and improvement programmes Excellent leadership, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills Why join us?
