Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our Twi-light shift team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools. The Pipefitter will collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure that all installations meet safety and quality standards.
Hours of work:
Mon - Thurs = 16.00pm am
Fri = 13.30pm pm
Hours worked outside of the above shall be paid at overtime rates
Duties
* Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems according to specifications and schematics
* Perform TIG welding for tacking of fittings to pipe fabrications
* Conduct piping tasks including the installation of fixtures and fittings
* Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
* Troubleshoot issues within piping systems and perform necessary repairs
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow on construction sites
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Skills
* Proficiency in TIG welding techniques
* Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
* Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in maintenance tasks
* Familiarity with plumbing systems and assembly processes
* Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to installations
* Experience in construction environments is advantageous
