Channel Commercials PLC is a leading commercial vehicle dealer providing sales, parts and servicing for DAF Trucks, Light Commercial Vehicles, and Vans in the South-East.
The Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship is delivered over three years, providing practical, on‑the‑job training and classroom‑based instruction at the DAF Apprentice Academy.
At Channel Commercials you will have the opportunity to work on modern commercial trucks and access to the latest systems and technology, enabling you to gain the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to enter the automotive industry.
It’s a great opportunity to learn industry-specific skills while developing a career for life in Commercial Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.
You Will Obtain The Skills And Knowledge To
* Test commercial vehicles and diagnose faults
* Service, maintain, and repair commercial vehicles using specialist equipment and tools
* Interpret and follow technical service instruction data
* Maintain a safe working environment
You will be paid a competitive wage whilst gaining the practical skills, knowledge, and experience needed to enter the automotive industry.
You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship by Channel Commercials and a dedicated skills coach who will regularly visit the workplace to monitor your progress, training needs and support with your portfolio work.
After successful completion of the apprenticeship program you will receive an industry‑wide recognised qualification and there may be an opportunity for a permanent Commercial Vehicle Technician position.
Successful Candidates
* Must achieve a minimum GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
* Will be hard‑working and committed to succeed with the apprenticeship.
* Have the ability to complete work to deadlines and follow instructions.
* Will be honest, trustworthy and willing to learn.
* Have a positive attitude and be motivated to progress and develop their skills.
* Have a mechanical aptitude and good at problem solving.
* Are interested and passionate about becoming a Commercial Vehicle Technician.
