Contek Recruitment Solutions are collaborating with our client who are a distinguished UK-based manufacturer and who specialise in refuse collection vehicles (RCVs), including chassis, bodies, and bin lifts and was founded in 1895. the company commands the UK market, with over 60% of local councils utilising their vehicles.
They offer a salary between £35,193.60 - £38,459.20 per annum, depending on experience, along with a standard 40-hour work week from 07:30 - 16:00, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general MIG welding and re-plating on HGVs and RCVs.
- Strip and rebuild vehicle components including body, hopper, and bin lifts.
- Prepare vehicles to DVSA and high welding standards.
- Complete all work to customer satisfaction and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain accurate records and follow company processes.
Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Communication: Strong communication skills and a “can-do” attitude.
- Knowledge/Expertise: Qualified in welding/fabrication (BSEN 287 coding desirable), experienced in MIG welding and medium-heavy steel fabrication (2mm–10mm).
- Innovation: Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and building and tack welding from drawings.
- Business Impact: Self-motivated, comfortable working in confined spaces and physically demanding environments, willing to learn new skills and travel when required.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure all tasks are completed to high standards and within set deadlines.
- Promote and uphold health and safety guidelines, using PPE appropriately.
