WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) is a defence engineering company based in the UK. We design, manufacture and support military vehicles used by the British Army and international customers.
To lead the delivery-side integration and control of all supply chain activities across the CR3 programme — ensuring supplier-driven timelines, dependencies, and risks are fully understood, managed, and embedded into the master schedule.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
* Integrate supplier milestones, lead times, and readiness activities into the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), working closely with the SCM.
* Lead weekly schedule-based supply reviews — focused on risk, recovery actions, and forecast-to-need alignment.
* Coordinate input into programme-level planning artefacts: milestone health, RAIDO, EAC, and change impact assessments.
* Own supply chain progress and risk visibility for delivery governance, including scenario planning and escalation coordination.
* Act as the delivery lead across the wider programme for supply chain readiness — ensuring alignment to build, trials, and acceptance windows.
* Support change proposals, contract variations, and acceleration opportunities by assessing time and delivery implications from the supply side.
* Work with the SCM to manage interfaces with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing — ensuring plans are joined up and risks are jointly owned.
* Drive accountability and planning discipline across all supply streams — identifying and challenging gaps, lags, or misalignment to the IMS.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
Essential
* Strong experience in project management within complex delivery environments (defence, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing).
* Proven ability to manage delivery against schedule in supply-led workstreams with high levels of complexity and interdependence.
* Skilled in MS Project and schedule-based risk and scenario planning.
* Understanding of long-lead procurement, critical path risk, and the relationship between supply performance and programme success.
* Strong coordination skills across planning, procurement, engineering, and operations functions.
* Able to lead reviews, challenge constructively, and escalate with evidence.
Desirable
* Familiarity with MOD programme assurance and gated delivery.
* Formal PM qualification (e.g., APM PMQ, Prince2).
* Knowledge of material readiness tracking, SAP or equivalent systems, and working across pre-series/production environments.
* Experience in managing supplier recovery, schedule rebaselining, or cost/time trade-off planning.
