Special Needs Teaching Assistant, Sheffield
Protocol Education is seeking passionate individuals for the role of Special Needs Teaching Assistant in Sheffield. This position involves working in SEND schools, catering to children from early years to post-16 with various needs, including physical, learning, and mental health challenges.
About the role:
* Supporting children with Education Health Care Plans and statements of need
* Small class sizes (8-12 children) with 1 teacher and 2-3 support staff
* Focus on behaviour management and relationship building
Requirements:
* Passion for education and working with young people
* Experience or transferable skills in education
* Willingness to travel up to 30 minutes by car or 45 minutes by public transport
* Willing to apply for or hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
* Moving and handling and/or team teach experience is preferred but not essential
