Your New RoleThis newly created in-house Solicitor role is a rare opportunity to work directly with senior leadership to establish and grow the legal function. Reporting in to the General Counsel, you’ll be the second permanent legal hire, supported by a seconded senior associate, a document controller, and a soon-to-be-hired paralegal reporting into you. You’ll have access to external counsel, legal tech tools, and strong internal support, with a clear path to Head of Legal for the right candidate.
You’ll be responsible for:
1. Drafting and negotiating equipment supply contracts and installation agreements
2. Providingmercial legal advice to sales and operations teams
3. Managing disputes and ensuring regulatorypliance
4. Supporting ESG initiatives, including thepany’s BCorp accreditation journey
What You’ll Need to Succeed
5. 2–4 years PQE, ideally in projects ormercial law
6. Experience with EPC contractors, distributors, or technical businesses
7. Familiarity with UK construction regulations (NEC/JCT knowledge is a bonus)
8. Able to translateplex legal issues into practical business solutions
9. Personable and dynamic, with strongmunication skills
10. Ideally based in or near Bristol, with hybrid working flexibility
11. Solar sector experience is wee but not essential—what matters most is your mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
