Overview
Q-Fab is seeking an experienced Joiner / Multi-Trade Builder to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be skilled, reliable, and capable of delivering high-quality workmanship across a wide range of residential and commercial projects.
This position is offered on a CIS basis, and applicants must be CIS registered and live within the Flintshire or Chester area, or within reasonable travelling distance, due to daily site travel requirements.
Types of Work Undertaken
Our projects cover a broad range of domestic and commercial property works, including:
* Structural alterations (RSJ installations, lintel works, structural openings and wall removals)
* Garage conversions and internal refurbishments
* Damp proofing, moisture control, and reinstatement works
* Fire door installation, adjustment, and compliance works
* General building works including plastering, flooring, and finishing
* Insurance and property reinstatement projects
Requirements
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in joinery, maintenance, or multi-trade work
* CIS registered (required)
* Full UK driving licence (required)
* Must live in Flintshire, Chester, or nearby areas
* Ability to travel to sites across Flintshire, Chester, Wrexham and Wirral
* Own basic hand tools required (power tools advantageous)
* Strong attention to detail and high standards of finish
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Professional and polite manner with customers
* Strong timekeeping and attendance record
* Ability to work efficiently and maintain high productivity levels
* Ability to take verbal instructions and follow company procedures
* Maintain clean, tidy, and organised work areas
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling and heavy lifting
Company van may be provided to the right candidate (subject to performance and standards).
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out multi-trade works from detailed briefs and specifications
* Undertake joinery (1st & 2nd fix), basic brickwork, plumbing, groundworks and general building works
* Complete projects efficiently within allocated timeframes
* Communicate job progress and updates clearly with management and team members
* Maintain high standards of workmanship and site cleanliness
* Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety regulations
* Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in an organised condition
* Complete company paperwork including timesheets and job records accurately
* Represent Q-Fab professionally at all times
