Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in line set up and machine start up. The Fitter will be responsible for assembling and fabricating components to exact specifications, ensuring quality and precision in all work.
Responsibilities
* Maintain food processing equipment to high standard, organising planned maintenance and emergency breakdown maintenance.
* Maintaining stock of parts and parts store.
* Recording maintenance carried out
* Carrying out production changeover in timely manner with accountability for tools.
* Experience in TIG welding desirable.
* Welding as required.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand assembly requirements.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
* Maintaining other items on site associated with the work eg: agricultural equipment
Qualifications
* Proven experience in welding, particularly TIG welding.
* Knowledge of electrics.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
