We are currently recruiting an experienced and confident Residential Children’s Support Worker to join a well-established 8-bedded therapeutic service supporting younger children with challenging and complex behavioural needs.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives and can provide consistent, nurturing and trauma-informed care.
About the Service

Therapeutic residential children’s home
*
Supporting younger children with extreme and challenging behaviours
*
Strong focus on therapeutic play and engagement
*
Children take part in:
*
Therapeutic-based games and activities
*
Camping trips and outdoor experiences
*
After-school activities such as dancing, karaoke and creative sessions
*
Access to an in-house tutor for children not currently in education
The Role
As a Residential Children’s Support Worker, you will:
*
Provide high-quality, child-centred care and support
*
Manage and respond to challenging behaviours in a calm, therapeutic manner
*
Build positive, trusting relationships with children
*
Support children with daily routines, education and emotional regulation
*
Participate in activities, outings and residential trips
*
Work as part of a supportive and professional care team
Training & Development
The provider is committed to staff development and will offer:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
*
NAPPI Level 3 (Challenging Behaviour Training)
*
Ongoing training and professional development
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
*
Full UK driving licence
*
DBS registered on the Update Service
*
Previous experience working in a residential setting with children/young people under 18
*
Confidence supporting children with very challenging behaviours and complex needs
*
A positive, resilient and proactive attitude
*
Willingness to undertake all required training and development
