Senior Protection and Control Design Engineer
Location: Scotland (Hybrid)
Salary: up to £65,000 (+ benefits)
Contract Type: Permanent
Our client, a highly regarded engineering and construction firm are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to support major high-voltage infrastructure and renewable energy projects across the UK.
You'll be part of a high-performing design team that is central to delivering critical protection and control systems across HV and EHV installations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the full design lifecycle for key energy transition and power grid projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and execute detailed protection and control system designs from concept phase through to construction documentation.
* Design and review technical drawings and documents including single-line diagrams, protection schematics etc..
* Select and specify protection relays and associated IEDs suitable for HV/EHV applications.
* Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry and regulatory standards.
* Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Participate in technical reviews, design risk assessments, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the team.
