We are recruiting for an established Tier 1 construction business on a new Prison scheme near Newton Abbot. The project is a long‑term redevelopment of an existing prison facility with both new build and refurbishment works, complex M&E packages, groundworks and civil engineering works.
Key responsibilities:
 * Work with the estimating and bid teams to firm up prices and costs for each package based on the initial bids.
 * Compile a working scope of works and bill of quantifications for each package.
 * Work with the supply chain to establish how each phase will be delivered; place orders and arrange pre‑start meetings.
 * Manage the scheme in conjunction with the delivery team, carrying out standard QS duties of valuations, payments, remeasures, variation accounts, CVR management, and weekly, monthly reporting and forecasting through to final account.
 * Oversee and manage multiple projects and junior members of the team.
 * Work with pre‑construction teams and directors at contract award stages on procurement and initial cost planning before taking onto site.
 * Maintain autonomy to make decisions that suit the project and business, while managing your day‑to‑day workloads within an agreed framework.
 * Train and develop junior and trainee members of the team.
