An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a leading UK manufacturing business. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role will take ownership of the financial management of one key manufacturing division while also supporting with UK-wide consolidation and reporting.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused position where youll partner closely with operations, supply chain and senior management to drive performance, control costs and support strategic decision-making. The role offers genuine career progression and exposure to both UK leadership and an American parent company.
Key Responsibilities Manage all financial activities for your manufacturing site, including management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
Produce accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports and performance analysis.
Partner with operations to improve production efficiency, cost control and profitability.
Lead variance analysis (material, labour, overheads) and provide actionable insight to management.
Oversee stock accounting, standard costing, and inventory valuation.
Support UK group consolidation, US GAAP reporting and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
Proven experience in a manufacturing or production finance environment.
Strong knowledge of standard costing, stock control, and management reporting.
Highly analytical, commercially aware and confident working with non-finance stakeholders.
ERP system experience (e.g. SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and strong Excel/BI skills.
