Be among the first 25 applicants. The HR Business Partner is a full-time, permanent role. This is a remote position with extensive travel to campuses in the North region: Caledonia North and South in Scotland, Knockloughrim, Newry in Ireland, Newtown and Northampton.
Responsibilities
* Work in positive, proactive collaboration with campus sites and senior teams to support the management and resolution of employee relations matters
* Deliver a full range of generalist HR services to allocated sites supporting all stages of the employment life cycle
* Deliver the regional and global HR strategy through planning, creation and implementation of projects as assigned
* Engage with campuses through regular visits to develop close collaborative working with stakeholders including Campus Principals, Line Managers, Campus senior teams, Campus Administration/Governance Teams, Regional Principals, Senior Directors and Management
* In conjunction with the HR Policy Lead, review and update HR policy and procedure for alignment across the organisation
* Write and present information briefings/reports on HR topics as required
* Manage a busy caseload of complex HR matters
* Attend sites regularly to support HR matters or deliver face-to-face meetings and updates
* Provide a comprehensive range of employee relations guidance, advice and support (grievance, disciplinary, absence, capability, etc.)
* Proactively support management in the resolution of all employment and HR matters in line with policy and law
* Coach and support managers at all levels in managing staff on informal and formal matters
* Provide advice and lead role in structural reviews and organisational change, including policies and procedures related to legislation
Qualifications
* Experience in a busy generalist HR role and managing complex casework
* Experience in a regulated sector with a strong Trade Union presence
* Up-to-date knowledge of employment law, ability to make commercial HR decisions, and knowledge of Data Protection and Confidentiality
* CIPD Level 7 qualification, postgraduate-level HR qualification, or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years)
* Maintains up-to-date knowledge of HR and employment changes
* Demonstrates positive integrity and professionalism with effective communication at all levels
