Aviation recruitment experts Optime Group have a fantastic opportunity to join a leading client at Gatwick Airport. As a Passenger Service Agent, you’ll support travellers who need special assistance – helping them through the airport with care and professionalism.

Planned Start Dates: End of July, Beginning of August 2025

What’s on offer:

* £14.01 per hour (paid weekly)
* 40 hours per week
* 5-on / 3-off rolling rota (shifts fall between 3am and 11pm)
* Average of 8 to 12 hour shifts each day.
* Weekly pay (every Friday)
* Full training and airport pass provided.
* Temp to Perm (performance-based)


The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 5 on 3 off rolling rota and you will need to be fully flexible with the days and hours you can work. Please note, your shifts can start as early as 03:00am. This could be subject to change!

An example of the shift hours:

Day 1: 04:00–14:00
Day 2: 04:00–13:00
Day 3: 05:00–13:00
Day 4: 13:00–23:00
Day 5: 10:00–19:00
3 days off


Key responsibilities:

* Being professional, polite and courteous at all times.
* Escorting arriving and departing special assistance passengers (along with accompanying family as necessary) through the airport either on foot, by wheelchair or electric buggy/caddy as depicted by their categorisation.
* Providing assistance with the passenger luggage.
* Completing the Daily Equipment Check Sheet, to maintain the operational reliability of the equipment, reporting where necessary, any equipment defects in line with the equipment inspection procedure.
* Ensuring that wheelchairs and buggies are always clean and tidy.
* Ensure that Centralised Control is updated on progress by use of IT handsets.
* Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed legibly and submitted promptly.
* Any additional reasonable duties, as assigned by operational management.


What you’ll need:

* Great work ethic
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong customer service approach
* Self-motivated and proactive
* Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
* Valid manual UK driving licence (preferable)
* Previous airport experience (advantageous but not essential)
* Desirable languages: Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati
* UK Settled Status (if applicable)
* 5-year address history
* 5-year reference history
* Must pass a basic DBS check post-interview (as per CAA regulations)
