Our Repairs and Maintenance teams play an important role in delivering our vision of providing great homes and great service. We have a new opportunity for an Electrician to join our Responsive Repairs team on a permanent, full-time basis working 39 hours per week: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Thursday & 8:00 am - 3:30 pm on Friday, covering Chesterfield, Derby and Nottingham.
About the role You will live within the Derbyshire / Chesterfield area to ensure we can get to our residents promptly. Guinness Property provides repairs and maintenance services to The Guinness Partnership. Our national teams deliver rapid-response housing repairs, maintenance, and improvement services to ensure that our residents' homes are safe and maintained to a high standard.What we are looking forWe are a customer-focused organisation, so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. You will not only be a fully qualified and experienced Electrician, but you will also have great customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done.Essential Skills & Experience:
* Certificated Electrician qualifications and demonstrated experience in domestic and commercial electrical works.
* Proven knowledge and experience in electrical fixed wire testing, installing, and maintaining up to 230v/415v.
* Ability to correctly complete the relevant certifications, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
* Ability to accurately interpret technical data & drawings and instructions.
* Experience working in a customer-focused environment within agreed performance targets.
* Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
* Good working knowledge of Health & Safety Practices.
Essential Qualifications:
* City and Guilds 236 Pt 1 & 2 (or NVQ Level 3).
* 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
* 2+ years’ experience of completing EICR’s.
* City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent.
Please note: This position will require a basic DBS check which will be paid for by The Guinness Partnership.
This is a full-time, permanent vacancy, working 39 hours per week, and there is a requirement to cover out-of-hours callout on a rota basis, which offers an additional payment.
