SSEN Transmission has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager (SPM) to lead the delivery of infrastructure projects in northern Scotland connecting the Islands to the main grid. You will play a crucial role in project delivery—developing your team, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are met.
Base Location: Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness
Due to project locations, the SPM is required to be onsite at least every second week for 2-3 days to oversee construction and safety, health, welfare, and environmental requirements.
Salary: £58,100 - £87,100 + car/car allowance + performance bonus + benefits supporting your finances, wellbeing, and family.

Responsibilities
1. Ensure safety, health, wellbeing, and environmental compliance across projects.
2. Plan, monitor, and control projects to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.
3. Manage commercial aspects, including contracts and disputes.
4. Apply recognized project management processes and governance frameworks.
5. Lead and develop teams, demonstrating core values and ensuring high performance.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Proven track record in delivering projects in the utilities or regulated sectors.
2. Engineering, construction, or project management degree or equivalent experience.
3. Knowledge of environmental and safety legislation, including CDM 2015.
4. Experience with NEC contracts and negotiation skills; NEC qualification is a plus.
5. Experience managing projects over £10m in regulated environments.
