We’re looking for a Legal Assistant to join our busy Wills & Probate department in Haverfordwest, providing essential support to our legal professionals and playing a key role in delivering outstanding service to our clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced legal environment where you will be involved in a wide variety of work — from preparing legal documents and managing case files to liaising with clients and supporting fee earners on complex matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support Fee Earners with the organisation and prioritisation of matters to enhance client service and ensure effective case progression
* Assist in the preparation of documents such as wills, estate plans, trust administration forms, court filings, client care letters, and letters of advice
* Prepare client bills and assist with file management, including the storage and retrieval of wills and deeds
* Attend client appointments, including home visits and out-of-office meetings alongside a Solicitor
* Handle new client enquiries and assist with onboarding procedures
* Manage administrative tasks such as file opening, compliance checks, billing, and diary management
* Answer telephone calls and provide general support to ensure a high standard of client service
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and data management systems
* High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a busy environment
* Confident communicator with strong client care skills
* Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
* Full driving licence and willingness to travel for client appointments
* Previous experience in a Wills & Probate or Private Client department is desirable but not essential
