For over 120 years, MRS Training & Rescue has developed specialist skills, experience, and knowledge from working in difficult and potentially dangerous environments to rescue and escape mine workers from underground.
With the decline of coal mines, culminating in the closure of the last deep coal mine in December 2015, we have diversified into providing rescue services, specialist equipment, consultancy, and a range of health and safety products, training, and services across various industries including nuclear, aerospace, manufacturing, and utilities.
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team. Our staff work as part of an emergency response team, providing on-site emergency services in major hazard industries such as power generation, construction, and utilities.

We value individuals who are outgoing, confident, professional, eager to learn, willing to travel, flexible with schedules (including weekends), and hold a full diving license.
Starting salary is at least £26,762.46, with potential for rapid progression, bonuses, overtime pay, pension contributions, and additional benefits after qualifying periods. Our training includes prehospital emergency care and rescue from confined spaces, with opportunities to specialize further in areas such as mines rescue, water rescue, and rescue from height.
This role is demanding but rewarding, with a focus on long-term career development within the company. Most senior staff have advanced from frontline roles.
