Overview Job Introduction We\'re on the lookout for a Merchandise Planner! Join the Commercial team at cardfactory and help us make the most of our store space. Our exciting space optimisation project is ready to go – we need someone as excited as we are to dive in and make every inch count! This opportunity is available on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. It’s a hybrid role combining some days working from home and some at our head office based in Wakefield, with great links to the M1 and free parking. Main Responsibilities Working closely with our Senior Merchandiser you’ll shape strategies and budgets for your category, while also mentoring an Assistant Merchandiser. It’s a great chance to step up, make an impact, and grow your skills. We’re looking for someone who can work at pace and think on their feet, this is a great team who love digging into the data to drive results whilst remaining curious about everything in their orbit! You’ll need to balance the big picture with the small details—from stock planning and forecasts to working with suppliers and getting the right products in the right place, at the right time. You’ll have solid merchandising experience (ideally in a fast-paced, multi-channel retail setup), a great eye for detail and the confidence to collaborate and influence across teams. You\'ll build smart, customer-focused ranges, plan budgets, manage stock, and work with teams across the business to keep things running smoothly. You’ll also get stuck into weekly trade reviews, supplier planning, and space optimisation magic.
