Senior Therapeutic Care Worker – East Lancashire
We are recruiting a full-time Senior Therapeutic Care Worker to join our children’s homes based in East Lancashire. Life Change Care offers a therapeutic environment for young people aged 10-17 upon admission, in a home which can accommodate up to 4 young people. We follow our trauma-informed emotional regulation (TIER) practice model, which is embedded in all our homes, and we are proud to be part of the Five Rivers Family.
As a Senior Therapeutic Care Worker, you will be part of the team providing a supportive, nurturing environment that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. You will support our young people through day-to-day needs, participate in activities, and celebrate milestones. You will be part of an established team providing the care and support needed to turn children’s lives around. You will have experience working within a residential setting, particularly with young people with emotional difficulties or challenging behaviour and have a passion for working with children and young people. You will support the Registered and Deputy Manager of the home by leading the team and regularly supervising, coaching, and key-working with our young people and staff.
Responsibilities
* Lead the care team and provide supervision, coaching, and key-working with young people and staff
* Support day-to-day needs and participating in activities; monitor safety and well-being
* Contribute to a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment based on the TIER model
Qualifications
* You must hold your Level 3 / 4 diploma in residential childcare
* At least 2 years’ experience in a residential childcare setting
* Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
* Due to the age of our young people, you must be over the age of 21 to apply for this role
Hours and Benefits
* 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis, including weekends, evenings and sleep-ins
* Sleep-ins: at least two per week
