What To Expect Day To Day The Software Test Automation Engineer will play an important role within the agile software development team, ensuring quality and continuous improvement is of paramount importance within the team. You will develop and implement automated test solutions for our highly successful cloud and mobile applications within the energy industry. RESPONSIBILITES Define and develop the test automation framework for testing and analysis of complex systems to ensure they are compliant with requirements and acceptance criteria and perform well in the customer production environment. Identify new opportunities and tools to automate the test process. Develop automation test frameworks using Java and Python. Implement test automation where appropriate to improve test efficiency, repeatability, coverage, and accuracy. Collaborate with developers to facilitate automated UI, Component, and integration testing. Work closely with the Agile development teams to carry out smoke and regression test executions in a timely manner. Participate in peer reviews of test designs/scripts. Constantly refine and stay current with emerging technologies. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: A Minimum of 3 years of test Automation experience at mid-senior level, A third level qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Proven ability to design and develop test automation frameworks such as Selenium or Cypress Experience in test automation of web applications. Experience testing APIs, e.g., using Rest Assured, Postman Experience with Agile test methodologies. Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence Knowledge of database technologies like SQL or Mongo DB. Knowledge on cross browser testing. Excellent command of written and spoken English. DESIRED CRITERIA: Experience with TestNG framework.
