What You’ll Do
* Assist nursing and therapy teams with safe patient transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
* Perform mobility rounding to keep patients active and on track with their mobility goals.
* Use safe patient handling equipment—lifts, gait belts, slide sheets, Sara Stedy, Hoyer, and more.
* Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and PT/OT staff to ensure the right level of assistance for every patient.
* Encourage and promote early mobility for ICU, PCU, and Telemetry patients.
* Keep mobility equipment clean, functional, and ready to roll.
* Support fall prevention and safety initiatives across the unit.
* Educate patients and families on safe movement and the power of activity.
* Participate in team huddles to identify trends, celebrate progress, and remove barriers.
